The Black Knights 667th VFW Air divisions Training Session Guidelines

(0) Unable to accomplish basic tasks, further training mandatory 
(1) Below average- Able to accomplish basic tasks at a minimum proficiency. Further training recommended
(2) Average-Able to complete assigned basic tasks at acceptable standards (minimum needed for promotion from O/C to 2nd Lt.).
(3) Above average-Able to complete assigned basic tasks with a high degree of proficiency. (needed for combat qualification)
(4) Excellent-Able to complete all basic tasks with a high degree of proficiency and some advanced skills
(5) Advanced-Able to complete all basic and advanced tasks with a high degree of proficiency

Note: If the trainee fails to acquire a total of at least 30 points in the10 categories by either the training officer or flight officer they will have to retrain from the beginning.
{FLT} Flight Skills-
Basic Flight Skills- Take off, gear up, retract flaps, climb to specified altitude and heading, knowledge of instruments and displays 
(i.e.: RADAR, HUD and TEWS)
Advanced Flight Skills- Spin and stall recovery, countermeasures, damage control, low altitude/low speed techniques, 
energy management
{NAV} Navigation-
Basic skills- Locate specified TACAN or Nav point and change course to suit, fuel management, 
speed run between 2 nav/TACAN points,
Advanced Skills- Navigation using dead reckoning, advanced speed run/fuel management, 
locate ground targets using nav and tacan bearings.
{PAD} Padlock-
Basic Skills- Padlock evaluator and give correct details of position and rough distance from your aircraft, 
ability to maneuver without losing padlock, 
Advanced Skills- Ability to keep track of enemy and friendly aircraft using padlock, ability to differentiate distances between 
multiple aircraft (i.e. closest and farthest) ability to aggressively engage enemy aircraft without losing padlock.
{WEP} Weapons-
Guns-
Basic Skills- Ability to put guns on target, ability to engage evaluator with guns, knowledge of use of gun sights.
Advanced Skills-High AoA shots, deflection shots, ammo management, gun settings
Missiles-
Basic Skills- Ability to engage and evade using Aim-9p sidewinders, ability to correctly target another aircraft with AIM 9P missiles, 
demonstrate knowledge of acceptable firing angles 
Advanced Skills- Ability to correctly employ all missile available (heat and radar), knowledge of Range, radar requirements and 
engagement envelopes for all missiles. Knowledge of evasion techniques and countermeasures for advanced technology missiles.
A/G-required for an Advanced rating (5) in this category (optional)
Bombs-
Dumb Bombs-
Basic Skills- Ability to configure A/G armaments, ability to hit specified ground targets
Advanced Skills- Weapon management, advanced configuration, ability to demonstrate loft, dive and ccip bomb runs, ability to use A/G radar to locate and destroy targets. Destroy evaluator's aircraft on runway with bombs both stationary and moving.
AGM-65-
Basic skills- Ability to lockup and destroy A/G targets
Advanced Skills- Destroy evaluator stationary aircraft on runway.
{ACM} Air Combat Maneuvers-
Offense-energy management, tactics
Defense-evade missiles, defensive maneuvering
{LOW} Low Level (Terrain Following) Flight
Sustain controlled flight for a specified time at an altitude of 200 ft or less.
{COM} Communications-
Ability to communicate quickly and efficiently (with both B/C and keyboard).

{WNG} Wingman Skills-

Ability to cover your wingman and protect him from enemy fire.  Also ability to demonstrate teamwork in a hostile environment.

{SAW} Situational Awareness-

Ability to multitask and perform many functions while in flight or engaged.  Ability to react quickly and understand whats going on in your surroundings while in flight.
{LAN} Landing-
Basic skills- perform a controlled landing at a specified airbase, perform a landing under fire, 
Perform a single engine emergency landing, perform a touch and go landing.
Advanced Skills- perform a deadstick landing, perform a no approach landing on evaluators order.
